Back from New York!

If you're so inclined, do a Google search for Fancy Food Show 2009 and you'll find LOTS of writers and bloggers breaking down the good and the bad of this year's show. We saw and tasted our way through thousands of products and we found some really great new items.  Read on for quick round-up of what you'll be seeing on the shelves soon...

Cuorenero Chocolates - Chocolates made in Italy from exclusively Latin American beans in exciting flavors like Peperoncino Rosso and Smoked Fig. The Smoked Fig was our favorite - crunchy bits of fig and the smooth 70% chocolate balance the smoky backbone.

Mount Cabot Maple Syrup - this is an absolutely perfect maple syrup from New Hampshire.  Say all you want about Vermont, this is the best stuff we've ever tasted.  The sweetest man, Carl, pulls the sugar from his own trees on the side of a mountain.  This may be the find of the show!

Rozendal Wine Vinegars - another great man behind a fantastic product! This is a series of red wine vinegars aged with exotic South African ingredients like kelp, carob seed and lavender.  This one must be tasted to be fully appreciated and we look forward to giving you that chance!

Primitizia Foraged Herb Sauces - this comes from the maker of Mugolio, the wildly-popular pine cone bud syrup we've been selling for a couple of years.  Eleanora, the founder, forages wild herbs from the Dolomite Alps and makes these tasty pestos out of them - the Wild Broccoli is a revelation!
