Hoppers: The Cookbook: Recipes, Memories and Inspiration from Sri Lankan Homes, Streets and Beyond is Karan Gokani's debut cookbook, showcasing signature Sri Lankan recipes from his extremely popular London restaurant. Karan shares his personal story and the stories of the Sri Lankan people, places and dishes that inspired him to leave his law career to open Hoppers. Inside the book, you'll learn about essential Sri Lankan flavors and ingredients, and get the recipes for classic and new dishes that Karan developed, including crab kari, crunchy deep-fried mutton rolls, kalupol chicken and kothu roti.
During the event, our friends from Diaspora Co. will be on hand to sample their single-origin spices from India and Sri Lanka. We will also offer samples of one of our newest products, Kola Goodies Sri Lankan milk tea.
